Positive Mind - Positive Life

Positivity.  We need to be positive to succeed on this journey.  We not only need to be positive for ourselves, but we need to be positive for others.  Negative thoughts can easily derail us on this journey.  To believe in ourselves, to encourage others, we need to remove negative words from our vocabulary.
Words like "can't" and "won't" need to be replaced.  "I can."  "You can."  "I will."  "You will."
Think about it.  Negativity breeds negativity.  Positivity breeds positivity.  Change your perspective.  Encourage someone else, and change their perspective.  Your positivity will send out positive vibes to others, and they will pass that positivity along!
Live each day with a positive outlook.  The days will turn into weeks.  The weeks will turn into months.  The months will turn into years.  Live a positive life.  Pass on your positive vibes.  Not only will you encourage others, but your example, will spread like wildfire!  Make the change, and be the change!

Always remember – YOU ARE AWESOME!  Go out and make it a great day!

Why Do You Want Me To Fail?

What happens when your significant other doesn't support you in your journey?  What happens when their words and actions hurt?  What happens when you feel like your friends don't support you, and want you to fail?  Do you think about quitting because it is just easier than dealing with the hurt, and lack of support?    What is wrong with people?  Friends and significant others are supposed to love you and support you, so why don't they?  People in general, (not all people, but many) are mean, selfish, and belittling to others.  They want to bring others down, and they work hard at doing this.  It makes some people feel bigger to bring others down.  When you are in this situation, it is hard to see.  The problem is not you!  The problem is them!  Some people are just miserable in their own lives, and they try to reflect it on other people, when they should be taking a good look at themselves...

Negative v. Postive Self-Talk and Self-Esteem

Before I get into stories, and my point of view on this topic, I have a confession.  I am a work-in-progress when it comes to this.  Knowing, and practicing, are two very different things.  It takes personal growth, and I believe that I am slowly, but surely getting there. I believe that the majority of people are unhappy with themselves, for one reason for another.  We may feel fat, ugly, incompetent, lazy, or have any other of a million different ways.  I believe that we all can relate to some, or many of these feelings. My story is that I did look at myself in the mirror, and I saw myself as fat, ugly, and sometimes, pretty much worthless.  Sometimes I saw a total failure in that mirror.  When I would talk to myself, and to others, I would call myself those things, but also referred to myself as a fat cow, a hippo, a moose, or a manatee (a sea cow).  How's that for hating yourself and being negative?  How this affected my self-est...

I'm Just Not Feeling It Today

I'm just not feeling it today.  The alarm clock goes off, and you don't want to get up.  You force yourself to get out of bed, but you just want to crawl back in.  You see yourself in the mirror, bed-head and all, and you think to yourself that it just takes way too much effort to get in the shower, to get dressed, to brush your hair, etc.  You decide it all can wait.  You make your way to the couch, and turn on the TV.   In the back of your mind, you may be thinking that you need to get up and exercise.  Maybe you need to do laundry, or go to the store.  You quickly push those thoughts aside.  The next thing you know, you have binge-watched 5 hours of Netflix, maybe even mindlessly eating.  You are suffering from a serious lack of motivation. Have this ever been you?  I'm guilty.  I've had days like this where my fitness tracker didn't track over 500 steps for the whole da...
