Doubt Can Kill Your Dreams

Doubt kills more dreams that failure ever will.
All of us have dreams (or goals, if you want to look at them that way.)  As an example, we want to lose weight.  When you decided that you wanted to do this, did you doubt that you could do it?  Did you think that you could do it, and then have someone else tell you that you wouldn't be able to do it, therefore, making you doubt yourself?  How do you think that this will affect your attempt?  If you have a bad day, do you just throw in the towel, and tell yourself that you knew you couldn't do it?
I fall into this category.  I want to run a mile, but I have caught myself doubting that I will ever be able to do it.  I have doubted my ability to do this for many years. I justify the doubt by telling myself that I'm just not a runner.  Well, I want to get past that.  I really want to be able to run a mile.  I know that to accomplish this, I will have to constantly tell myself that I can do it - even if I don't totally believe it at first.  If I tell myself this daily, I will start to believe it, and I will probably be able to do a little more each day until I get this done.  I don't want my doubt to kill the dream.  I may fail, but I can always keep trying.
When we doubt our ability to accomplish something, it becomes a form of negative self-talk.  Telling ourselves that we doubt we can do something, will make it hard to accomplish, if not, impossible.  When we tell a friend  that we doubt we can accomplish something, the verbalization of that will plant more seeds of doubt in our minds, especially if your friend agrees with us!
Let's decide that from here on out, we will do our best to never doubt ourselves.  After all, we are capable of accomplishing anything we set our minds on doing!  Let's not verbalize our doubts to anyone else.  Let's keep telling ourselves that we can accomplish our goals and dreams.  We must do this, even if we have to tell ourselves the same thing multiple times.  If we say something enough, sooner or later we will start to believe it.  Once we believe it, we are mentally at a place to reach these goals.  It's then that we realize that  nothing can stop us.
If we fail, or feel like we fail, we must get back up and try again.  Sometimes we have to fail to succeed.  Failures do make us stronger, if we just don't give up!
Don't let your doubts kill your dreams!  Let your positive thoughts and determination make your dreams come true!

Always remember – YOU ARE AWESOME!  Go out and make it a great day!

Decisions! Decisions!

Every day, all of us have to make decisions - what to wear, where to go, what to do, what to eat, and probably many more decisions.  More often than not, I struggle with decisions.  Some days I go through 2-3 outfits before I make a decision.  I'm often involved in the conversation of "Where do you want to go?" "I don't know, where do you want to go?" I am an "over-thinker," and sometimes, I think that makes it even more difficult to make the decision.  There are times that I wish someone else would just make decisions for me! I just got back from vacation, and I had a very difficult time making decisions - food decisions.  A few years ago, my boyfriend and I went on vacation, and we were both on diets.  We went to this famous restaurant, and didn't want to cheat, so we didn't eat anything that we "shouldn't" eat.  That was over four years ago, and we still talk about how we will never do that again.  It bothere...

Celebrate Your Wins

Celebrations are so much fun!  There are not enough celebrations in our lives!  Only we can change this! We each have big goals that will take a while to accomplish.  What we need to think about, is that we accomplish smaller goals every day, that lead us to accomplishing our main goal.  Did you eat better today?  Did you drink more water?  Did you take more steps?  Did you weigh in, and the number on the scale go down?  Did you fit into a smaller size in clothes?  Did you feel good today?  Did you like the person that you saw in the mirror?  Were you proud of yourself today? Those are only a few examples of ways that we win each day!  Celebrate your wins!  Be proud!  Post them for others to see!  Congratulate others on their wins!  Celebrating these wins will make our goals seem attainable!  Celebrating with others has a positive impact, for them, but also, for yourself! Take time to ce...

I'm Just Not Feeling It Today

I'm just not feeling it today.  The alarm clock goes off, and you don't want to get up.  You force yourself to get out of bed, but you just want to crawl back in.  You see yourself in the mirror, bed-head and all, and you think to yourself that it just takes way too much effort to get in the shower, to get dressed, to brush your hair, etc.  You decide it all can wait.  You make your way to the couch, and turn on the TV.   In the back of your mind, you may be thinking that you need to get up and exercise.  Maybe you need to do laundry, or go to the store.  You quickly push those thoughts aside.  The next thing you know, you have binge-watched 5 hours of Netflix, maybe even mindlessly eating.  You are suffering from a serious lack of motivation. Have this ever been you?  I'm guilty.  I've had days like this where my fitness tracker didn't track over 500 steps for the whole da...
